🌍 EligibilityOrion Global Hackathon 2026 welcomes innovators from around the world.
Eligible participants include:
- Students (Undergraduate, Postgraduate & PhD)
- Professional Developers
- Software Engineers
- Designers
- AI & ML Engineers
- Researchers
- Startup Founders
- Product Managers
- Technology Enthusiasts
Participants may compete individually or in teams of up to 5 members.
There are no restrictions on nationality or educational background. If you have a passion for building impactful technology, you're welcome to participate.
💻 Project and Submission RequirementsProjects must be original and developed specifically for Orion Global Hackathon 2026.
Each submission must include:
Required- Project Title
- Project Description
- Problem Statement
- Proposed Solution
- Public GitHub Repository
- Working Prototype or Application
- Demo Video (3–5 minutes)
- Team Information
- Architecture Diagram
- Pitch Deck / Presentation
- Deployment Link
- Future Roadmap
- Technical Documentation
- AI tools and APIs are permitted.
- Open-source libraries and frameworks may be used.
- Third-party assets must be properly attributed.
- Plagiarism or copied submissions will result in immediate disqualification.
- Teams must have the rights to all submitted content.
Projects should demonstrate meaningful progress during the hackathon period and clearly communicate the value of the solution.

Projects will be evaluated by an expert panel from industry and academia.
Innovation & Creativity (25%)How unique and original is the solution? Does it introduce a novel approach or significantly improve existing solutions?
Technical Excellence (25%)Quality of software engineering, architecture, scalability, implementation, and technical complexity.
Real-World Impact (20%)How effectively does the solution solve an important problem? Is it practical and capable of creating measurable impact?
User Experience & Design (15%)Ease of use, accessibility, interface design, and overall user experience.
Presentation & Demonstration (15%)Quality of the project demonstration, storytelling, documentation, and ability to communicate the solution effectively.
Winner Selection- Judges' decisions are final.
- Scores from all judging criteria will be aggregated to determine the winners.
- In the event of a tie, the judging panel may conduct additional evaluations based on innovation, impact, and technical implementation.
- Orion Global Hackathon reserves the right to verify submissions, request additional demonstrations, or disqualify entries that violate the competition rules or code of conduct.
This evaluation framework ensures a fair, transparent, and merit-based selection process while recognizing projects that combine innovation, technical excellence, and real-world impact.
